 The Center for Independent Living partners with the community to promote personal rights and responsibilities among people with all disabilities and strives to eliminate architectural, and attitudinal barriers by providing education, resources, and training to enhance self-determination through informed choice. Members of ALLAN and CONRAD, Inc. assisted the Center for Independent Living by participating in RAMPAGE. RAMPAGE is a program where the Center for Independent Living assists local residents by constructing ramps to make their home accessible. In November, 2008, we designed five ramps to be built in the central Florida area. We also donated the cost of materials and constructed one of the wooden ramps. In February 2010, we again contributed the design for all ramps built and furnished materials and our labor for a concrete ramp.
